2014 June

Hi, how are you? Kumsta(in Filipino)? Hope you are all well.
We are very thankful for your prayers which sustain us and keep us going in the ministry.

Last year we went through an earthquake plus a super typhoon (biggest typhoon ever)in Bohol, one month of no electricity & no water, busyness from a new work of emergency aid

and struggle of being separated for 2 months; Aya & Ali in Japan and Gam in Philippines.
画像

We’ve survived! And there was a great victory too
画像
but we are injured by too much stress & spiritual warfare.

After that, 2014 Feb-April, we had our deputation in Japan.
画像

We were again busy sharing about ministry in Bohol, travelling all over Japan,
but also rested, healed and encouraged.
画像
Thank God for everything He provided
…love, care, financial support, friendships we got… and a lot of opportunities to serve Japanese church too.
画像

God gave us opportunities to share His words and testimonies more than 28times
in churches & schools in Japan.

Japanese churches need more workers!!

We were renting a shop for a year by now. We made it as a guitar & coffee shop during weekdays
and also used for worship services and other meetings & trainings.
It was good, though it was tough both financially & physically, that we had met a lot of new people
and widened our networks.
After earthquake, we couldn’t open the coffee shop anymore and used the place only for ministry.
We managed to pay the rental but can’t afford to continue renting.

Also, while we were in Japan the church has grown up!
画像
Thanks for your prayers!
They were doing well, kept the house worships regularly, simply & loyally and doubled their attendants so the shop became too small anyway.
画像

We were praying for a lot to purchase since it’s much cheaper to have our own lot than renting.
And somebody in Japan donated for that! Praise God, we are now looking for a lot! Land is expensive in Tagbilaran City but we are sure God will give this church the best place.

Please pray also for the temporally worship place while we would build (the shop is until July) and for the needs for the building.

Even after we came back from Japan, we are still travelling in Philippines.
Thank God for protecting our son Ali who is now 1 year and 5 months old.
He is so adapted to travelling and seems enjoying all the places he goes.
His nap is always on a motor-bike…his bed is shaky, windy &
sandwiched between papa’s back and mama’s chest!

We are now visiting our parents in Mindanao.
We are happy teaching young people here.
Please pray for also:
June 29th: Evangelistic crusade in Bislig area.
July 6th: Youth Super Sunday Song Festival in Bislig Baptist church
July 7th: Move to Tagum, Davao...6 hours bus trip...
July 9-11th: Concerts in schools
July 12-13th: Workshops &concert at a resort.
July 15th: Go to Cebu (help a band on 19th)
July 20?th: Back to Bohol

Please pray also for our next move.
We are planning to move to Camiguin Island since the church in Bohol is already doing well by themselves
and our role is to travel…train people & evangelizing…
though we’ll still supervise Bohol’s ministry and will visit tribes that we are contacting to.
Camiguin

We are hoping to “settle down” and rest a bit in Camiguin,
since we didn’t have a “home” for ourselves for nearly a year,
and concentrate to our creative works like song & story writings for the Lord.

Thank you for your prayer!! Let me hear your news too. We will love to pray for you ...

Love, Ayako and Gam
